Music Director – Sulo Turner

The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia is the musical that picks up where the hit song leaves off…answering all those questions the lyrics bring to mind:

“Why can’t you trust a small town southern lawyer?”

“Who is this judge with bloodstains on her hands?”

“Did they really hang an innocent man?”

Set in the Georgia backwoods, this is the story of siblings Becky & Bobby Ray, best friend Andy and their dream to leave hometown Sweet Bluff in the dust. But like so many big dreams from small towns, things don’t quite turn out as one would hope – especially when someone else’s dreams get in the way. Full of lovin’, lyin’, cheatin’, guns and whisky, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia is about that life that happens while you’re making other plans…told with a slight country soundtrack, a sweet southern drawl, and a surprise ending.
